Nathaniel DeVivo(Nebraska, 1996) is an artist working primarily in photography and performance exploring his own cultural history. Adopted into a white Hindu family from rural Nebraska it wasn’t until his early 20’s where Nathaniel began to be in conversation with his own racial identity as an African American using his practice as a means of self-discovery. He has been in multiple group shows inNebraska and California and has been published in the queer literary journal, Foglifter. Nathaniel is currently a senior at the San Francisco Art Institute working towards a BFA in photography and the history and theory of contemporary art.
